In 2003, Piet Schreuders visited Saint-Marc-sur-Mer (near Saint-Nazaire, west of Nantes in France's département Loire-Atlantique), where Jacques Tati had shot "Les vacances de Monsieur Hulot" some fifty years earlier (in 1951, actually). Obviously, he did some rephotography whilst there - you can find his pictures among his fantastic sets of images on F'r, via his site http://www.pietschreuders.com/ > projects > film locations … or in the feature "De sporen van Monsieur Hulot" in the VPRO Gids of 2003-09.
